Training
Puppy
training begins at birth and a good breeder will have laid the initial foundation
of building a sound and stable dog for you. Once you get your puppy at eight weeks
of age, you are responsible for raising this individual dog to its fullest potential.
Socializing your puppy,
teaching it to respect members of the family, and training it to become a Canine
Good Citizen, are multiple aspects of raising your dog to become the best dog
it can be, not just for your home but for your community in general. Training
is also not something that ends after an eight-week puppy kindergarten or basic
obedience class. For better or worse, you are teaching your dog something every
single day of its life by the way you interact with it. This
section includes a wealth of on and off-site resources which I hope will be of
use to you as you go about training your Leonberger for life. |
