Puppies
:
Kalahari's B-litter :
Week
Five (5/2/06
- 5/9/06)
The
puppies now consistently go in and out through the doggie-door to go potty outside
in the pine shavings. We moved the pine shavings outside about six days ago, and
it took them about a day or so to get the hang of how to use a doggie door.
They
go up little steps on the inside out the door and then down little steps on the
outside to get to the box with wood shavings.
The
pups get regular outings into the main back yard now where they play, rough and
tumble, and run around to their hearts' content!
They
like staying out late in the evening when it's nice and cool, and come inside
later in the night, unless it rains, in which case, they all come tumbling back
inside. They don't mind the noise, they just don't quite like getting wet - yet!
Deia
has completely recovered from her bout of mastitis and still lies down regularly
to let the puppies nurse on her.
They
are pretty much completely weaned at this point, but still like to nurse on her.
They eat about five to six times a day at this point. Here's
one comfortably asleep on her foot after finishing up a nursing session. More
photos (thanks to Jewl Wall for some of them) of the pups are below... |
