Aidan is our first Leonberger, born in the summer of 1998. He has been an incredible companion to first me and my husband, and then to our daughter as she was born in '99 and now our son as well (born '04). My daughter learned to walk by holding on to his fur and now my son is learning to stand upright by holding on to Aidan. He holds an extremely special place in our hearts!

Aidan loves to swim, go on rides in the car, but most of all, he loves to just be around his family. He embodies the true Leonberger temperament as I see it - a dog that is totally devoted to his family, and can go absolutely anywhere with them, adores children and affection from people, yet has the ability to sense if a situation requires him to be more of a guardian.

He has always been willing to work with us in any area. We did therapy work with him when he was younger at a retirement home for senior citizens. He loves waterwork and has earned his WD (Water Dog) and WRD (Water Rescue Dog) titles. We have also worked in obedience. He has always been the demo dog in each Puppy Kindergarten class that I taught as he knows just how to draw out the shy pups and tame the bossier ones.
