Holistic Care
: Grooming : Nails

We trim nails once a week, not as much for the grooming itself, but to make sure that all our dogs stay comfortable with the process of having their nails trimmed. If your dog walks on concrete surfaces which grinds down the face of their nails, nail trimming may only be necessary every couple of weeks or so.

You can choose between guillotine-type clippers, scissor-style clippers, or a Dremel sanding tool which really gets the nail tip smooth with no sharp edges. We like trimming nails first with a scissor-style clipper followed by sanding down the nail surface with a Dremel sander.
